Empowering Youth to Overcome Obstacles
Hello! My name is Jaymie Pentelute. This site is specially designed to help inspire others to overcome the obstacles they face by turning negative situations into positive experiences. Whether large or small, stumbling blocks are placed in our paths every day and I believe they can either bring us down or make us stronger. I feel it is imperative that we as a nation believe in ourselves, and overcome these stumbling blocks. At the tender age of fourteen, I experienced a personal tragedy that left me devastated to say the least. As I found myself in the midst of these new and overwhelming feelings of self-doubt, my sister wrote me a life changing letter. In it she simply told me to believe in myself. She reminded me that no situation could control my attitude and outlook on life- that decision was mine alone to make. Because of her example, I have learned to "Above All-BELIEVE!" in myself. My plan to help inspire others to overcome their obstacles is two-fold: By sharing stories of triumph over trials, and by making a difference in someone else’s life by becoming a mentor. It is my hope that this sight will help to inspire all who visit to "Above All- BELIEVE!"
